The University of Colorado Dermatopathology Consultants perform a variety of dermatopathology services including evaluation of wet tissue (skin), consultative opinions, and direct immunofluorescence. We offer advanced immunohistochemical analysis of skin biopsies, with numerous available immunohistochemical stains and in-situ hybridization for selected disorders. Our facility is certified by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
Referrals from physicians in other states, as permitted by state regulations, are also welcome.
Our board-certified dermatopathologists offer specific expertise in pediatric dermatopathology, evaluation of melanocytic lesions, alopecia, cutaneous lymphoma, and analysis of foreign material in the skin.
We are active in academic research and teaching, and maintain a close relationship with the University of Colorado Department of Dermatology and dermatology residency program.
